Delivery

Three Ways to Take It

The same authored content, licensed on the terms that suit how your organisation actually trains.

01 — Self-Paced

Individual Enrolment

A single seat on the hosted learning platform. Modules, knowledge checks and a completion record, available for the licence period from any device.

02 — Blended

Online Theory Plus Practical

Self-paced theory completed before attendance, followed by simulator or in-person assessment days at an accredited centre. Arranged case by case.

03 — Fleet Licence

SCORM Into Your Own LMS

The course delivered as SCORM 1.2 packages dispatched into your existing learning management system, so completion data stays inside your own competence records.

Scope of the Training — Stated Plainly

What It Provides

  • Structured underpinning knowledge, sequenced and assessed module by module.
  • Content written to IMO and Australian regulatory references, kept under version control.
  • A dated completion record and assessment result for each learner.
  • Evidence of structured training to support a company competence management system.

What It Does Not Provide

  • A certificate of competency, endorsement or licence — those are issued by a flag Administration, not by a training provider.
  • A substitute for full-motion simulator assessment where an accreditation scheme requires it.
  • Accredited continuing professional development under any scheme that recognises only its own approved providers.
  • Any claim of accreditation that SeaDPtech does not hold. Where a scheme applies, it is named and its status is stated.

The Principal

Written and Delivered by an Operator

SeaDPtech is the practice of Martin Price, a First Officer and Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator with more than twenty years in offshore maritime, subsea construction and drilling operations, preceded by eleven years in the Royal Australian Navy including submarine service.

He instructs ballast control and stability on simulators for offshore operators, and authors the underpinning course material himself. The training sold here is written from source standards and operational practice — the same reasoning applied on watch, set out so it can be taught, assessed and audited.

Engagements are accepted directly and delivered personally. Where a task falls outside that scope, SeaDPtech says so.
